• Griffith High/Middle School Announcements for Thursday, December 13, 2018

     

    Attention Panther University students! Our last meeting of the semester is TODAY after school in Miss Nelson’s room, H224. We have a guest speaker from Ivy Tech coming to speak with us! Bring your questions and a friend! See you there. 

     

    There will be softball conditioning TONIGHT from 7:00-8:30.

     

    Students invited to participate in the Challenge Leadership Program must turn in their permission slip and $5 to Mrs. Leber by Monday, December 17.

     

    Attention drama students attending state: If you missed the meeting on Wednesday, please see Mrs. Parker in room H211 for important forms. Forms are due Tuesday, December 18th by the end of the day, 

     

    Attention all GMS and GHS student, faculty and staff: Wednesday, December 19th is holiday sweater day. Wear your most fashionable holiday attire this Wednesday and show your school and holiday spirit.

     

    At the Griffith Girls Invite last Saturday, Emma Keene competed in the 200 IM and 100 Breaststroke. She won both of those events as well as participated in the 200 Medley Relay and 200 Freestyle Relay helping Griffith to second and third place finishes in those events. For the first time in several years, Griffith placed 3rd at their hosted invite. For this effort Emma was named the Dutch Farms Athlete of the week for girls swimming! Congratulations Emma!

     

    Students make sure that you are following the requirements of the Student Dress Code as outlined in your Student Handbook. As we move into the winter months you are reminded that outerwear and coats are to remain in student lockers during the course of the instructional day.  Additionally, hoods must remain down at all times while inside the building.  Thank you for your attention and compliance, in regards to this expectation.  Please reference pg. 38 of your Student Handbook for guidance.

     

    Students are reminded that they are not allowed to carry their backpacks throughout the course of the school day.  Backpacks are to remain in student lockers from 7:45 AM until the conclusion of the school day. Additionally, backpacks are not allowed at Athletic Events.  Patrons who are in possession of backpacks at GHS or GMS Athletic events will be denied entry.  Patrons refusing to comply with these expectations will be removed from the event. All students must have their Panther Pass to get into all home games.  If you do not have your pass with you, you will be required to purchase a ticket.  No exceptions.
