Literacy - Reading/Writing

The comprehension strategies such as prediction, context clues, questioning, main idea, and summarizing will be explored as well. These summer school classes may include interdisciplinary literature activities, independent and cooperative projects, and written responses to literature materials to supplement the program. The use of technology as a reading tool will be incorporated. All classroom instruction will follow Indiana Academic Standards. Instruction will be designed to meet the needs of all reading levels.
