Presenter: Dr. Mann Spitler
APRIL 11 – GHS Auditorium
Griffith Public Schools is pleased to announce our April 11 guest speaker on Heroin abuse, Dr. Mann Spitler.
Heroin use in Northwest Indiana is reaching epidemic proportions. Unfortunately, this problem has even hit our wonderful Griffith community. One way to combat this problem is to spread information so people are aware of its effects and warning signs. Griffith Public Schools is bringing Dr. Mann Spitler to speak to students in grades 4-12 during the school day on April 11. He is speaking to the parents and community on April 11 at 7 p.m. in the Griffith High School Auditorium.
Dr. Spitler has been speaking to audiences since 2002. He knows first-hand the effects of this addictive drug after losing his daughter Manda to an overdose. Ever since that incident, he has been telling Manda’s Story to audiences in hopes of preventing drug abuse and stimulating parents to take action in protecting their children.
